Hi, I’m Lucie!
I’m a mom of four, a birth and postpartum doula, and a birth photographer.
My own births have been some of the most transformative experiences of my life. each one incredibly powerful. My three girls were born in the water—my first in a hospital birth center and my next two at home. My fourth baby, a boy, passed in the womb, a loss that deepened my perspective on birth, grief, and the strength we carry as mothers.
I was born and raised in the Czech Republic, endlessly fascinated by birth, babies and motherhood, listening to my grandmother’s stories as a midwife and pediatric nurse. I moved to the U.S. to work as an au pair and travel, God had some incredible plans and I met my husband here and also discovered the role of a doula—I knew instantly that this was my calling and what I was meant to do.
Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to supporting and documenting birth in all its raw beauty. Photography has always been a part of me—I’ve spent years documenting my own life and the people around me, and now I get to do the same for the families I serve. Compassionately care for mothers, teach God’s design for birth, help women to see and discover their strength and document the unforgettable moment of your life - meeting your little baby.

I specialize in holistic postpartum doula support, as well as maternity, fresh 48 and lifestyle newborn photography. I also offer childbirth classes and create organic herbal baths and offer vaginal steaming for labor and postpartum.

Hi, I’m Goldie!
I’m a mom of two boys, a birth photographer and doula. I’ve experienced both hospital and home birth firsthand and personally. Fun fact, my own home birth was outside on my back porch (yes by choice), a beautiful and transformative experience that deepened my love for the birth space. Growing up, my mother always spoke about birth with such positivity, and that perspective shaped me. Instead of fear and unknown during my first pregnancy, I felt excitement, and I love helping other moms find that same confidence in their own journey.
Before becoming a doula, I was a photographer, and I still capture newborn, maternity, and family portraits at my studio in St Joseph. After my first birth, I realized how naturally my artistic passion and love for the birth world fit together. Now, I get to document the incredible strength of laboring mothers while also providing the steady support they deserve. Whether I’m behind the camera or by your side as your doula, my goal is to help you feel empowered, supported, and able to fully embrace your birth story.
